Final Report on draft technical standards specifying requirements for cooperation, exchange of information, and notification between competent authorities, ESAs, and third countries under MiCA

Reasons for publication

The Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 9 June 2023. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has been empowered to develop technical standards and guidelines specifying certain provisions of MiCA.

To fulfil this empowerment, ESMA has drafted technical standards for those mandates found in Chapter 1 of Title VII dealing with the powers of competent authorities and cooperation between competent authorities, the European Banking Authority (EBA), and ESMA.
